alrighty, a couple quick questions.
i've been told that my basslines are a bit muddy sounding and that i should try to apply some eq to them. in fruity i found my 'fruity 7 band eq' and 'fruity parametric eq'. i thought i might be able to just drag and drop onto a channel, but apparently it's not so. how do i go about applying the eq settings to my bassline?
and secondly if i were to apply some eq settings to my leads, how would they be different from those used on my bassline? |

1.on the right upper corner u have fx slot. choose lets say nomber 3. now open the mixer and insert eq on channel 3.
2.in bass u probably wanna boost some bass in lead u might wanna cut some bass... remember.. its better to cut eq then boost then raise vol.

Do as Tsabeat says...
Now some personal advice:
On your virtual mixer (where u load the EQ's and stuff).. on the right, you have 4 SEND channels. In one of them load a Bass Boost, at around 70 Hz.
Now, in the bass channel, first you'll need to active the Bus/Send.. there are 4 Knobs... Raise the first knob, if you sent bass boost plugin to the Send 1 (or 2nd knob, if bass boost is second send.. etc)
Next, we'll had a compressor. The ratio should be around 2.0:1, not much attack and a bit more release than attack.. Just experiment a bit.
Pull down the Threshold and the Mixer Fader. Then pull UP the gain until you get it around -3 dB again. This will give more *body* to the bass.
About the EQ, I usually do the following: 2 parametric Eq's, one of them to cut freq's, another to make some peaks in some of them. This peaks and cuts always depend on the bass sound you want to get, so I can't give you any specific ideas.
Also, sometimes I add reverb or chorus to another Send channel. But again, it depends on what you want to achieve.
