I heared a cool effect on one of Zorba's songs. it's on the 4th song on 4:44. You can hear that only the delay is reverberated and not the original sound. Anyone knows how to do this? I can think of some ways to cheat and do this, like create two instances of the same vst and use the one with no delay and on the other remove the main sound and keep only the delay. I was just wondering if there is a proper way of doing this, or a plug in that can do this. |

It's very easy...
Just put a reverb after the delay in the bus chain.

won't the reverb be applied on the original sound also?
does it have to do anything with the pre/post-roll processes..?
in search for an answer... |

KosMos, why would the original sound be affected at all?
these are two differnt channels - the original sound channel and the bus channel with the effects on it.
if you wanna do anything to the delay, just do it on the bus channel - if u want to affect the original sound, do it on its own channel.

yeah in cubase sx 1 you make a group channel and put the delay as an insert on it with 100% wet, then make this group channel a Send for the synth you are interested in. You can then add a reverb as another insert on the group channel.
In SX 2 you do the same but only with FX channels instead of group channels.
Not sure about other hosts.... but what nectarios says should always work.. just set the wet control to 100% when you bounce to audio.
