It's on a computer that bit the dust, but it's pretty straight forward.
when the user types a number, a multiple of that number fills the fields, so if they type "4", 4 x 2 fills the first harmonic, 4 x 3 the next, and so on.
For the harmonics in between, it's the division by 2 of the sum of the two harmonics. For example if you had harmonics 120, and 240, you'd get 120 + 240 = 360, then divide, 360 / 2 = 180.
