You want to use your computer as a sampling keyboard, using the computer keyboard as sample triggers?
If you are a Mac user, I can write you a program to do that very easily with max/msp (www.cycling74.com). If you are on Windows, I don't know how well the patches port from one system to another. |

I'm on windows... But doesn't it suppose to be very simple thing to do?
Anyway, if you think you can write me something and explain how to work with it I'll appriciate it alot!
Thanks again... |

Well, can you explain what exactly it is you want to be doing? I personally like to code as much of my own software as possible (which is not all that much unfortunately), but there probably exists an app that does what you want already. |

I want a program that will let me configure my keyboard with inputs of small wave files. Example: A-drum, D-bass, F-snare... This way I'll be able to record exactly what I want with the very exact space I need in no time.
I remember once reading about a prog that do that but can't find it now.. and all the other prog that let do similiar stuff are all MIDI based and pretty much suck.
Do you know what nemesis means? |

I see. Well, that is a perfect example of what you can do in Max/MSP with not too much difficulty. Check it out. (www.cycling74.com) I could maybe do it for you but I'll have to look up cross-platform compatibility. Like I said though, you can probably find an already existing app that does that if you search. |

Sounds like something soundfonts would do perfectly too... I had this program ages ago called Vienna SF studio - but I suppose newr ones exist, that are better and easier. Try a google search for "soundfont"

If i understand you correctly, i think you should look at "impulse tracker"
