Hey,
I know it's still early but I'm gonna be in Manchester on the 27,28 of May (champions league final  ) so I thought why not catch a good party while I'm there...
So, anyone knows of any parties on the 27 or 28? or any URL I can watch for updates?
(I know it's midweek but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...)

green ohms live. the address is 65a oxford st,
manchester.unfortunatly man utd wont be in the final but i am sure it will be an enjoyable game |

If you happen to be in the UK the week before, the good folk of SUNRISE are also doing the psy trance room at the PLANET ZOGG bank holiday special on Sun 25 May at Corporation in Sheffield (full details a few threads below).
(BTW - the SUNRISE party on the 28th is at a venue called the Music Box)

er.. just looked at a calander - Kristian - are you sure the Sunrise party with the Green Ohms isn't Fri 30th as the 28th is a wednesday? |

the flyer says fri 28th may.and the 28th is on a wed. |

(we once had flyer for a NYE do come back - after 2 people had supposedly proofed it before it went to printers - with 31st Jan on instead of 31 Dec.. arrghhhh... we spent many a happy hour putting correction stickers onto the flyers!!) |

hahaha muppets, cant believe they got the wrong date! I live in manc and I can confirm that sunrise is the only thing psy related in manchester (besides a few people's lounges  ) If you're here on the 30th O.K then I'll possibly see you at sunrise...

Relativity (www.relativity-records.org.uk ) throw a few parties too - albeit it a bit less regularly than Sunrise.
Given Manchesters size - it is quite quiet though - there was a thread about this on an acid techno free party website - basically there doesn't seem to be much underground stuff going on in the city - where as similar or smaller cities like Sheffield, Bristol, Leeds etc have lots of underground parties be they trance , techno or house. Not sure why that should be - its supposedly got the highest student population in Europe.. but maybe thats the problem?

The majority of nights in manc are drum and bass, like you say very little other trance type stuff going on. There used to be loads and loads of squat parties, mostly techno, but the police really cracked down on them and its hard to find a squat that lasts more than an hour before the police turn up in force >:( |

guess I'll have to settle for some beers or something else (  ) if u have some Manchester hookups for me...
