hey i find this on interenet for this movie

KIN-DZA-DZA
1986 dur 120 min.
dir. Georgi Danelia. Comedy. Once upon a time two friends met a barefoot alien in the street, they gave him one sock. Then they were very unfortunate to use his transport and got to a neighbour galaxy Kin-Dza-Dza. The inhabitants of this galaxy look like people but they don`t have qualities like kindness, love, honesty and so on. They use only two words to communicate, one is a bad word and the other one means everythinng else. The two friends have to get a new engine, fix the transport and get home using only a box of matches (which is priceless treasure on this planet) and their poor musical talents. Satyric comedy that shows our society in grotesque-ish way. Brilliant according to critics and very poor and boring according to ordinary viewers.

Almost everyone in the former Soviet places knows this one. It is very trippy and crazy, but dude, it gets even crazier if you know what they did with the movies in those years, the government watched really closely what to show and what not. So this is a gem on its own. By the way, watch it if you know Russian, if not - forget it           Monitoring devices, know where you go

I worked with imigrants from the former USSR and one of my pupils gave me this movie with english subtitiles. It is unintelligable, I completely didnt get what the hell theyw anted from me. Its really wierd, to the point of not fun.           Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.

Probably, because the translation wasn't good enough, being in the industry, i know it is extremely hard to translate such a movie. You have to be Russian or at least from a former Soviet background and at least have lived a lil in the USSR + know Russian language to actually understand the movie, however, as soon as you understand everything, you only get to the point that you're aware of not understanding anything! well let's just say, it's not the result that matters, but the course of things!           Monitoring devices, know where you go

outstanding movie! I still watch it from time to time.
However i must agree that you better know russian to watch this one. Otherwise you may lose whole point of this satyric comedy.

Better go see "night watch" ;-)
