i like it a lot because of its very direct access into audio samples. i am rendering every created vst or "hardware" sound to the disk and i have collected a lot of samples over the years, also I like working with samples out of jazz, funk or even drum'n bass and stuff and with ableton live i feel like having the most possibilities using and changing this material !
and because of its reduced cpu consumption it also good for using VST.

and i am very curious about the comming feature "max for live 8", which allows users to create new live machines and even whole new features.

what do you think ? what do you work with ?

I am using it as well. It's easy, straightforward and does the job.

Judging by his Facebook, Vaishiyas is using it now as well, and I think a lot of producers are changing to Ableton Live at the moment.          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

i don't have live 8 but version 7...but i must say there are some good features in the new one ! no fundamental changes but things that can make the work a little easier !

and i got the feeling that live is one of the best sequencers when it comes to CPU usage while using VSTs           Radioactive.Cake - intelligent dark minimal psygressive

i'm using Live too.
Easy, nice work flow.

But I have always a quest againts Cubase users!
They always claim the Cubase's audio engine is better than Live

I experimented 3SX... the sound seams a little more clear, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone prove this?
Someone with high-precision monitors????

I've been using Live from Live6. I think it's a great sequencer very straightforward and innovative. imho (imho!) the sound is not as clear as in Cubase (used it for two years) or Logic (used logic for 1 year) for example. I've began to produce with Reaper and the sound has a greater clarity and punch (I use Dynaudio BM5A monitors).
