hardware today i see it as a luxury for producing tunes ...if you like the sound of some specific gears/synths and the workflow it make perfect sense but for production quality ppl use so many different techniques ,tricks, in electronic production with softwares, the results are pretty much the same with hardware, it s all about who is using the tools rather than the tools themselves .after it s subjective, and it s what make your own sound, your own taste.

have tracks where there is 90% of hardware, but they still are sequenced in software.

That's cool...can you link a track of yours?

well, the tracks which i wanted to share are going to be released on my free EP really soon, in 3-4 weeks via Sunstation Records. I can notify you, if it still be interesting

Yeah, respectfully, I disagree with you guys. Modern synth hardware IS just software running on a highly specialized computer. In the end, the sound is all just 1s and 0s. It may be 'easier' for some of you to use dedicated hardware, but don't fool yourself. It's not significantly different than software on your laptop or pc. In the end, it's just an aesthetic preference.

By the way, I went from making tunes using only hardware, mostly analog synths, compressors and effects, using mostly analog EQs on my then Soundcraft Spirit Studio 8 buss, TLAudio and Jemeek VC1Qcs channel strip and a 733Mhz PC running Logic to sequence midi and record audio, to 100% software still running Logic on a Quad 2.66 Xeon MacPro.
Tastes aside, I am far more productive using software.

Peace out.
