i had this old joystick and i set it up to send midi signals. the problem is every button is an absolute knob, in the sense that if i link it to the volume knob, it can only give full or no volume. is there a way in which i can cut or raise these parameters how much i want?

You want to make your buttons velocity sensitive?
I don't think it's possible.

But if you have any success in making it work, let me know.
I have an old USB microsoft joystick I might want to use as a midi controller.

i dont think the buttons will work that way. but the axis knobs that can be rotated(donno what they call it) can be. i now use one(up/down movement)as my mod wheel and the other to link to any parameter. dont know if what i said made any sense.
