just wondering if it was possable of using this technique on kick to keep the centre free for lo end bass.... at the end of the chain i would narrow the kicks image and bring bottom freqs of kick in mono 0-120hz maybe more... sounds good but is this practicle?

if it sounds good its practical
mastering might fix the trouble if its not too much
but would advice not to fuck to much if you want it to sound like it is part of the track maybe some parts could work not whole track          http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers

The Haas effect is useless for the lowest bass because bass below 100Hz becomes omnidirectional. What's more, as the Haas effect requires the differential between the two channels to be less than 40milliseconds in order for it to be perceived as one sound, the lowest frequencies with the longest wavelengths tend to phase cancel one another and erase the audible sub bass.

Unless you have a stereo subwoofer setup (most home users have a mono sub and most clubs have mono subs) then the low bass will probably actually phase cancel at the cone itself in addition to at the listening position, weakening the bass sound.           .::New Boole CD The Vital Few out now::.

that is why u would use a monomaker below 100hz! which is what is said

also there is a plugin called HAAS which does not require 2channels

the rules can be broken if done proply brod
