I once registered, but never used it, although it looks like a very good way of working.

With the DM-Link plug-in (VST or RTAS) and compatible music software (Steinberg Cubase or Nuendo as well as Digidesign Pro Tools) you can hook up to a partner via an Internet broadband (ADSL) connection.
You can use the Internet connection to record the musical performance in real-time. MIDI and audio data can be transferred without latency onto your partner’s computer.
The Mac OS and Windows plug-in allows the connection of two compatible sequencers (VST or RTAS) with each other. Even if your partner is on the other side of the world, it still feels as if you were in a “normal” studio together: one partner is in the studio and the other in the recording room. For verbal communication, the digital musician link has a Talkback utility that can be enhanced to include visuals with a webcam. As part of a worldwide community of musicians and studios, you will find partners for your projects and the right professional for your tracks on digitalmusician.net.
You can work internationally with the digital musician link without leaving the comfort of your own studio. The digital musician link allows you to virtually connect with your partner and work on joint projects together. Travel costs and jet lag normally connected with foreign recording sessions are a thing of the past.
Use the DM-Link plug-in on one of your sequencer’s channels and login to digitalmusician.net. Then you can connect to a partner and record their part of a song. The DM-Link makes it possible to record in high quality as if you were in the studio together.
