oh kosovo has been one of the most interesting in my life. soon after the war i got there. actually it was almost still war. hichhiking. it was insane. i thought i will just go around and see what is happening. but there were military everywhere. they got me into a military place. then no money left. it was such a trip. till i got to a city at all.....i travelled through the roads and mountains. never forget it. then croatia.... 7 years ago. how is the situation nowadays?
all these places and people were just so incredibly beautiful. and sad. it was right after the war actions.

oh this is great, thanks for the invitation. very polite.
we used to travel at that time in a van , only girls, then to the mountains up to a very special house. with the van. i found those girls at the crossing bridges festival in kosovo. then we travelled.
it was very special. i would need such a trip again soon.

I was in Kosovo this summer in my short balkan trip. Didn't have much time so just checked out Pristhina & Prizren and drove around. Had a great time and met real friendly and great people. We had one of the best deserts we ever had in a small cafe we stumbled upon. Even bought me an Albanian traditional hat

Prizren was real beautiful and it was fun to get lost in the winding streets- we saw an amazing sunset there.

Just one thing, Hallucinator, you ppl drive like nuts. I've been around the worle, saw some crazy drivers (not that we miss them here in Israel), but Kosovo roads held the craziest. At one point I just crawled slowly behing a big truck and felt safe that no one is going to appear behind the bend in my side of the road going full speed

oh yes the driving....!
the few times i drove there in the balkans, i had to borrow the gps system from my brother. i cant drive in the balkans. really:)))). i can rotate for hours in the same place, no signs, nothing:). not only kosovo but everywhere. romania was a bit nicer with the streets:). but anyway, pack a good gps.

well at that time when we were with the other girls in kosovo, we had a normal sleeping hippy van. it was great. only on the border we got stopped. it was cool. with all the equipment, the guitars, the pa's. and the grass....they let us go....we were too young and nice at that time to land in prison:). but nowadays i would really prefer a gps in those places. too much time loss and nerves loss.

@shahar, were you there with the crew as well????

hallucinator: yes, love back to you as well. i cant wait to come again and see all those kids. some of them must be grown ups nowadays, this was 7 years ago...

the best thing of all was the trip up to the mountains. i remember it with so much love. especially now, as i find myself on the northern pole almost....surrounded by banks and streets and cars and buildings....
the mountains in kosovo are so amazing!!!!
there in a house where we went after the festival, conny from germany ( this is one of the persons who were coordinating the project) got pregnant by a friend of mine - a guy from kosovo called orest. the bridge was created:))))). he is such a lovely person....
sending big love to the mountains.
