i loved ur track . the sounds and break are awesome , the second bassline is great, can u explain how u did it, u know the dirty one bass right after the break?

Hey piXan, thanks man!

the second bassline, if its the one i'm thinking of is a classic example of side-chain pumping the bass. basically its a one long note, either 1 bar or 4 bars, single oscillator saw bass patch. i use Logic's ESM, but any synth with a good solid saw should do the trick (zebra, massive, sylenth), and make sure you only use one oscillator because you want it to be clear and edgy. i leave the filter open, with a few tweaks, but its up to taste.

then setup the side-chain so the kick hits it and with no attack and a decent release tweaked to taste, and you will get that nice pumping sound. techno people love this methinks

@xybre
thanks man!!!

No progressive is not very techno imho. Progressive psytrance would be ace ventura, liquid soul, freq, symphonix, that kind of stuff. Psychedelic techno would be more a techno basis with some trippy sounds sprinkeled on top. Think: pig and dan, astronivo, khainz, new stuff from perfect stranger etc.           soundcloud.com/supergroover

Given that all 4/4 dance music can legitimately be called 'techno', there's a shitload of people on this forum - including all the blue names on this thread - who make psychedelic techno

Hope this helps.

So Progressive-Psy is more on the lines of;
Digicult, Zen Mechanics, Farbo Ect.
Hmm, I thought that would be on the line of Full-on Psy.
Well I guess I write Progressive Psy. There can be quite a thin line comparing Progressive Psy to Full-On though.            E-KLIPSE Trance Productions

I would call that fullon indeed not progressive at all. although zen mechanics is sometimes on the border of the two. Progressive is often below 140 bpm and fullon above (there are exceptions).           soundcloud.com/supergroover

bpm 120-130
not kbb or kbbb basslines , no 16th notes ,
but lots of sidechain           www.soundcloud.com/elektroakustica/sets/downtempo/
