uploaded an mp3 which sounds perfectly fine on iTunes, yet is full of clicks and pops on soundcloud. anyone knows whats up with that?

i know they use 128k for streaming. i don't know how they go about encoding, but it sounds like shit to me.
had to submit a track for a remix comp using soundcloud - was so disappointed when i heard how it came out. i tried uploading 320k .mp3 and 16-bit .wav, but both sounded equally kak.

Nevermind reuploaded and there are no pops now. really? I did not know it was all 128k streaming...I'm sure its more than 128k listening to the 320kbps mp3 I just uploaded...I might be going deaf 
Actually A/Bing with iTunes it don't sound exactly the same, not as clear and as loud...hmmm but it don't sound like 128kbps either...fuck knows.

Soundcloud is @ 128 kbps in widgets, which it tells you when you upload the track. If you play it through any of the soundcloud players, including the ones actually on the website, it runs at 128kbps. In their eyes, the widgets are only their to 'make things fun'. In everyone else's eyes, it is immeasurably shit, and needs resolving, stat.
Downloads are unaffected by this.
