Hi,
now that I'm really digging into synths (I love my Albino) I wanted to know if anyone knows of such a vst for modulating parameters for synths and effects in a daw
lets say 8-16 outs ( 1 will do )
with low/hi modulation points options for
Freq= speed with or without sync
Wave ie: saw/sine/triangle/Ramp/square/noise Sample an Hold etc..
with attack,decay,phase,Symmetry
and have mono/retrigger controls
Thanks

well with ableton and max4live you can drop in extra LFOs and envelopes that you can tie to synth parameters.
between that and clip automation....yeah ableton has what you're looking for and more.
If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Max 4 Live is the obvious choice within Ableton.
If you are not using Ableton, you could achieve much of the same functionality with Reaktor by sending MIDI messages and having the synth respond to those - fiddly to set up though, IME.
Generally speaking, unless it is a VST that hosts other VSTs, VSTs cannot see each other, so unless the host has a protocol like Max embedded at low level in the software, pinging MIDI messages around is the best you can do. .

Thanks for the replies
Shit I'm using Studio One, I have an 8 Ableton license but stability made me stop using it..
So as midi I would then need
1cc to control the min/max
1cc to feed the 1stcc for the speed
1cc to feed the 2nd cc for the wave, wait.. so how does someone represent a wave in midi without a envelope?
as well for the rest of the controls?
Is it even possible to represent?
Damn I don't think this is possible
anyway thanks

Well in Studio One you might think about just doing it via automation of the parameter - after all, you can draw LFOs very easily using in the automation panel. That is of course unless you're trying to do this for live performance recording or something.

I've been doing this, but like you say, I want to be able to record changes on the fly. Plus you only get 1 lane per control so I couldn't modulate 1 lane with another..

Hmm, well, this is how to do it via MIDI in Reaktor. You can either tweak the knobs manually, or set up CC on the channel with Reaktor in to control them individually.
NB: This will always be mono - as indeed I think doing this in Max4Live would be too ... CC data is always mono.
Obviously, you'd need to do a bit of work to do slightly more advanced things like temposync or sequencer sync - I'll leave that up to you - and I haven't tested this, this is just off the top of my head ... a memory of something I know I had working at one point.

yeah, cool - honestly can't remember if you need that multiply by 127 - and you might want to think about running midi pitch, gate and velocity just straight through the patch ... or mangling them - but it can get complicated and buggy. I warn you now. And velocity info is sent with gate info, so that isn't a big deal unless you want it to be.
Also you'll see I've set that offset to -1 to 1, which is stupid, 0 to 1 makes more sense, and think about a clipper to stop exceeding the boundaries - there is loads you could do. Loads. Midi Echo ... the lot.
