Hi man...
IMO you need think about what do you wanna do...not what vst to use...

no have formulas or VSTs that make stuff for you...
Think about music, not about Plugins...

Any vst will do the job for you...

um abraço!

Organge Vocoder, Native Instruments Vokator, Melodyne, Antares Autotune, Ableton Live 8 Vocoder, .

Have fun!

BTW You have to learn to use them, it is not instant magik... unless you want to sound like any other robo voice out there.

Yooo dude. When I used to sing. I used to record whatever line I was singing like 6 times. First the lead.(ur principal voice) and then on top of that (following the lead) all the seconds and therd voices.
Dont just multyplied your lead. thet will give you a kind of natural chorus effect wich sounds really cool and helps the first voice not to be all alone, which makes it sound thinner. even if the lead is not super awesome this trick help alot. When rapping is super helpfull. now if do your seconds and third voices in diferent notes or octaves, u will make a chord. which in singing sounds really pro. And after your done recording remember to edit every voice.(audio file)
Cuz even the best flow in a singer, go off time a micro second so try to even everything well and that would do the trick.and then I used to procces my voice with reverb and a little vocoder.. if my english sucked and u didnt understand anything. im sorry just tell me and Ill try to explain it again. cheers !!!!

some good plugins, check Antares they have good vocal plugins.

you can use eq to make a sample sound like a radio. Cut low freqs and hi freqs and boost the middle.

Have you tried any of the ableton plugins? They can work wonders if executed properly.           http://soundcloud.com/tactile-one

I've used Vocoder in A8 a little bit and I like it a LOT. Ableton keeps making quality native plug-ins           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound
