They played 'Wish You Were Here', OMG! My heart is still pounding, arms all goosebumpy and my eyes still damp. And they pissed all over everybody else IMHO. They are the genuine article, even now.

@Dave Gilmour...
I've only got four of their albums (WYWH is my favourite) but they're still one of my most favourite bands in the whole world. I was a late starter with Pink Floyd but got into them before discovering psy - was happy to find so many other fans out there because I knew very little of the hype surrounding them when I first heard DSOTM at the age of 21 while at a mates house drinking red wine and having a smoke of something nice...blew me away!

Anyway, I know it was on the London stage, but our TV coverage showed performances from the other gigs around the world, so wondered if any of you caught the reunion set and if so, what you thought of it? In fact, any Pink Floyd comments/discussion appreciated. My head is still full of all those beautiful sounds...

(And sorry mods if this is the wrong place to post thread on the subject...didn't think it fitting anywhere else XX)

Happy day 3;~

Ditto. Wonder if it will be released on DVD or some other purchaseable format? *thinks credit card....*

In the meantime, stick with the link if you didn't watch it all the way through. It cracks a bit at the beginning and there are one or two parts that go out of sync (audio/visually) but overall it does seem to settle down a bit later.

hmmm you would think this event would set a path for future reunions but all parties agreed it is a one and only event...
no more full-life Pink Floyd...

yeah it was great the sound was almost the same as on the records... but the feeling was odd and the stage presence gloomy. the who was my favourite of the evening: superb sound, full on stage presence (you saw how they just forgot their age and just "were" rock'n'roll). amazing stuff stevie wonder gets praizes too. funky shiiiit...

It was awesome... I had shivers down my spine when they played the intro to "Wish You Were Here"...

Timeless!           On really romantic evenings of self, I go salsa dancing with my confusion...

Me too. Though oddly enough, since Saturday I've listened to 'Comfortably Numb' more because I just love the way they both sang it. Esp. my fave part of the song "there is no pain you are receding" - the melody there is utterly gorgeous and DG's voice was almost unbearably tender.

Sorry, I'm being a nerd...

@Outolintu
I don't think it was gloomy. I think it was a very emotional reunion. Waters looked quite overcome at times...! My opinion only however. You may well be right and I was sniffelling too much to notice

Im in India and just after the concert in London, one of my buddies(studying in Edinburgh) called me there and then just to tell me how fantabulous it was for him to check their scintillating performance for the last time, all together LIVE!

His dream came (A)LIVE too!
