i will use it if it adds audio editing out of the box and not with the need of an external editor.

I'm using it...I love it!!!
I decided to switch from cubase after trying it for 2 hours.
It has probably 30% of what other daws have but believe me it has the right things for me..
it's fast, it hasn't crashed once...never..solid, single window enviroment...
I strongly recomend everyone to give a shot to S1.
As I said it's in the beginning stage but its growing fast and it's fantastic

At the moment the audio editing is basic, but for me it has what I need..

Thanks for the feedback. I'm demoing it now and want to get an idea what professionals like you guys think (that's not a wink, it's a smile!).
I've been deliberating on choosing a sw to go with cos once I choose I don't want to switch, especially after investing what little $$ I have.

I've now been using it for two weeks or so, and I like it a lot so far. I've been using Cubase for six or seven years, but I think that the time is ripe to go with S1, though it's a little early to say for certain. S1 inspires me a lot more creatively and although it took a little time to get used to not having three mixers to bounce between (perhaps there are, I haven't explored it sufficiently to say), I'm starting to get the hang of it now and I like the workflow. Most of the stuff that took some time to do in Cubase is only a mouse click away with S1.

The only downside I've experienced so far is that it doesn't seem to get along well with my FW-410 and disconnects my soundcard every once in a while. My desktop computer is in for service right now so I can' say whether or not this is a sombre artefact due to my being laptop based presently...

Anyone else on S1 here? What do you guys think? There seem to be quite a few Cubasers who've emigrated to the S1 platform.

Hi. Im fairly new to making psy (just under 2 years) and ive tryed different daws- Cubase, Fl Studio and Ableton and i keep returning again and again to Studio One for its stability, ease of use and great workflow.
It really allows you to get ideas down quick and i highly recommend it especially to newbies like myself even though it doesn't have all the features that maybe Cubase or others might have.
i was very happy to come across this thread because i thought i might have been the only one making trance with S1!

I must give it a try when you all speak so well of it!
what is the audio editing options it lacks? would be interesting to hear, audio editing is one of the most important thing i think, all kinds of audio manipulation inside a host is the best for me.
