Before I consider buying, i'd like to have some feedback on how it sounds, how programmable it is, what I can expect from it in a trance context, etc...
Any user feedback MUCH appreciated
Cheers,

I've been using it for the last couple of months. I can't really say that it's aimed for trance. In my case i used it in every track i produced since i have it, and i produce almost all styles. I consider it more like an all rounder but from the very weird side of the sound. It has too many presets and most of them i'd describe them at least as strange. It is very programmable even though i don't mess with it, just using the presets. I'm also using FM8 and i think the combination of the two gives a very interesting and extensive sound palette.
Concluding, i'd totally agree with bukboy's suggestion.
A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life. |

Iv been using it for a while now... It has a lot of great patches. Some, I agree are not specifically for trance...
The good thing is it is so customizable. You can modulate just about anything. Also with version 1.1 it adds some more wavetables.
I am very happy with it and have recently started building my own patches from scratch.
Why not download the demo?

the only NI product you should consider is Reaktor, just look at the User Libraries, monthly updates, nice ensembles, browse for an Access Virus emulation called Disease
Great scene NI Reakotr users ...
Massive's fine as Absynth, but a bit general in purpose ... optimal for chill/ambient production.
What's about kore ?
Anyone tried it?

KORE is just a vst which unifies all the native vst's and makes it easy to look for patches and control them from the KORE hardware controller. Totally useless if u dont actually buy KORE. |

Great synth...comes with lots of presets however not all of them are psytrance oriented. Very flexible and deep, good filters (v.1.1 a very nice Acid filter), tasty gui.
The only bad thing I can say about this synth is it's CPU hunger. Most patches eat up between 20%-30% CPU on my slightly OC'd AMD Athlon 2700 which means that in order to run a few instances of the beast amongst other plugs and audio you'll probably need a new-ish generation computer to say the least...
