I have used Buzz... I think it's a good program which has very good instruments inside (one for all: Rectal Anarchy, Void synth, etc.. !!!) but it was extremely BUGGY and INSTABLE (I've known the writer lost all the source code so he must release pacthes over patches..) so after a time I become bored and stopped using it!
I know about BuzzLe, a total rewriting of Buzz, I also downloaded the alpha version but it didn't work on my system ..
(PS: Now, while reading your post I remembered that I readed on the Buzzle website that the beta version maybe out on xMass wooow!!, today after school I'll download it, and hope it will works!!)
..PS2: In any case, through this time I started using cubase, hehehe , and It's VERY VERY good..I think I'll use Buzzle (if works!!!!!) only for making some sequence with the Buzz instruments and use them in Cubase!
Good luck.. Bye |

I've used buzz for about 6 years. since then I love everything that gives you modular routing options. I've went to cubase because of my nice midi gear. Buzz without any fancy hacks won't allow alot of midi functions, tho it became much better with polacs vsti wrapper (www.xlutop.com)
I'm using energy xt for its modular routing inside cubase. The combination of those two programs, EXT and cubase is the best thing I've ever seen.
buzzle looks kinda interesting, though I'm not sure what it will become. The dude called hotkey is rather new in the scene and wasn't that involved into creating buzz hacks/generators/effects before.
I'd recommend you to look into berotracker
www.berotracker.de
this tracker is loadable as a vsti in your favourite host. It's modular, coded nicely and with alot of thoughts that went into buzz.
another nice tracker concept is called reVISIT. A full version (still beta) is downloadable and should work fine too, but it's not modular.
Still, nothing beats buzz at the time, because there's so much stuff you can do, that sometimes leaves my jaw open. Check out stuff like btdsys peercontrollers. There's nothing comparable as far as I know.
To make buzz stable you got many choices. Reduce the thousands of machines to a few chosen ones. It should be absolutely stable if you ditch all the buggy machines.
