You could drink mexican coke... Refresca. No HFCS. But you're probably better off with neither.

Quitting smoking... but it's ongoing and not necessarily date dependent.

+1 for mexican coke. Real sugar ftw. God damn corn in everything.

real sugar in large quantities (like soft drinks) is just as bad. if you must have sweeteners, look for honey, stevia, or maybe agave nectar. or even better, eat some fruit.

Ya dimitry is right..i'm trying to get away from 1oz of any sweetener per 12 fl. oz's of liquid.
I'm going to be trying out the blood type diet also, which will make me a vegetarian...lets see.

I've been doing the vegetarian thing for a while now (my 3rd veggie phase in my life). At first it was due to me not being able to afford meat when I could buy (x) more veggies instead. No pun intended but once again it's growing on me. I'm at a friend's house now, who made ribs. Afterward I passed out immediately -- no energy. I blame half of it on the tryptophan and the other half on my skinny body not used to handling heavy foods in a while.
I think I'm going to stay the course for a bit.

Stevia is fucking gross. Like, really, really horrible. I can't understand how anyone can imbibe that shit. But then again, tons of people eat tofu too which I just don't get.
Anyways, I have maybe one mexican coke every month or so because the only place I get it is my favorite pizza joint in portland. Otherwise I just drink shitloads of juice.
As for veggies...when I moved to the west coast I made a concerted effort to go vegetarian (not vegan..can't give up cheese...and I'm sorry but "cheese" is just not even remotely close) and it's pretty cool - I especially like cooking vegetarian as you can get very creative with it...I'm especially fond of thai/indian stuff like curry and vegetable stir fry.
However....know how some people are social drinkers or smokers? I'm a social meat eater...when I'm with vegetarians I only ever eat veggies as I feel to self conscious but if people are eating meat? Yeah, out the window with the vegetarian stuff
I have a newfound outlook on these things...if the zombie apocalypse is really coming soon and I'm sitting on top of a pile of rubble and skulls I think I'd be pretty PO'd at myself for not taking advantage of this ridiculous consumer system while I could.

if you're trying to quit sugar, stevia won't jack you up like sugar will. but yeah, it doesn't taste that great.
also not sure how that relates to being vegan, let's not lump all the "healthy" stuff together, makes it seem that much harder.
