As far as i know it connects to a digital out of your sound card (SPDIF). It's just the link between digital and analogue. |

DAC1 can be connected through USB. A sound device in your sequencer yes...

not sure you ll have a good latency with the dac 1 usb ,it s more for audiofil i think.you control the levels from the windows mixer ,so there is not a own mixer and routings sucks and there is no drivers ,it s not a soundcard .(maybe i m wrong )
if you are planing to record external source i ll go with a 2 chanel lavry blue d/a and then later add the a/d (you don t know what you ll need in 2 years , the blue is modular and price are good,if you dont want to loose some money later it s the converter to get )

The USB is for having it an audio interface - but as PoM noted, latency might be high...

yes email them to see how it works but i think using a soundcard with good drivers and go to the converter via optical or aes is more flexible. |

13k per one... sounds just the right price
I've seen the rosetta800 in the works, but not the ad16/da16... I suppose it's merely just more channels.
Are you planning on using analog gear for so many outputs?
