in the sample it could be more enhanced with the bands and crossover points ,it dont really make quadrafuzz shine,maybe it s cause i listened on crapy headphones dunno. |

personnaly i never used in a subblte way, why you dont use the bands ? it make things sound worst? cause i think it would improve more your sound.
would like to try it , it s years i havent used it but can t find the mac vst on steinberg ftp ,do you have a link? |

I don't like how it distorts when heavily used... i guess it is a matter of taste, i do tweak the bands just not boost them too much.
And no i have no link for mac version...  |

Slug also uses quadrafuzz, as do a ton of producers I know. Normally first insert on the bass channel at default settings. He has a bass tutorial here: http://www.liamgibbs.co.za/ about halfway down. |

i love quadrafuzz and i can't use it anymore. (i'm a mac user now so i switched to logic).
i think that something like izotope trash will do the job. |

something like ohmicide should eat quadrafuzz for distortion, but on some bass quadrafuzz does something special on the phase/timing and this i m not sure you can nail it with something else.( delaying the track might work or get close) |

I know, i have a copy of ohmicide somewhere on my mac as well, but i think quadrafuzz might be a bit superior on the bass too. i wouldnt say it helped with delay, but maybe just move it a little tiny notch to the right? just tiny tiny one?
What i like is thad quadra seems to make the midinotes fade less out, and really make the bass a lot warmer, but still not dirty.
i also found some wrapper to let me use a .vst file through logic

yes it s what i mean with delaying, moving the bass a few ms. to me quadrafuzz sux ,if you have a good bassline source it degrade it from my experience... but maybe i m wrong.
there is loads of bassline with quadrafuzz on it that sound like shit . |
