Hey sup?

So while tweaking the tunage (pun intendended) i startet wondering, if there was a way to actually get quadrafuzz for Logic? it seems that there used to be one version of it available but the creators sort of removed it, does that mean i actually cant possibly get it?

that would sort of suck, i also have the distorter named Thriash, but it sort of dont work with the bass at least.            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

i don't know why to distort the bass but i think you can use a multiband compressor to get close

just put the gain to max and clip ! than export ispired by OTT s bass question           http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers

I think you can find a VST version that isn't tied to Cubase, and then you can get a VST/AU wrapper that will let you run it on Logic...           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Quadrafuzz distorts in a very nice way producing harmonics that make the bass sound much moar killarg, if you know what i mean... dirty aggressive bassline for you to dance slamming the floor xD

Is delicate tho, have to be careful tweaked or it will mess everything up.

Protoculture and Tron use it a lot.

Hmm interesting as Tron's basslines sound 10x than Protoculture's...so I'm thinking there's more to it than quadra...

i didn't say quadra was the only ingredient there...

Also 10x what? better or worst? Protoculture uses layering, tron doesn't. But i'm sure the quadra is used by many other artists...

Just don't use the hard knee modes, most left it with default one and tweak band settings and the gain knobs.

I use it too, maybe i can post something later when at home.

Cool. Do one with quadra and one without peaking at the same level. I want to see the effect as I do use some very subtle saturation/overdrive in basslines lately, be a combination of the sonnox compressor and the input stage of the free Sonimus SonEQ...which is free.

Peace out.

I guess any subtle distortion would do the trick, i just happen to like the quadra grit.

I'll do the bassline comparation, just don't expect superb quality as my room is not treated enough :/

quadra does something on the timing, dont know how to explain and long time i haven t used it don t remember exaclty ,but imo a bassline when tweaked and processed to sound great adding quadrafuzz will often make more bads than goods things

I hear you POM, in fact sometimes i end up deleting the fx... someother times it works great.

Here the samples:

Quadra ON:

Quadra OFF:

I like both... this is from one of my works in progres... still needs some eq and shaping but served to show the qf fx.

if i maximize the volume and squeeze the headset into my ears i can sense a light difference in the tone of the bass
thats all. xD But yeah
its not supposed to make insane major changes, its supposed to just enhance the bass!            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe
