Greeting's Isratrance..!
I have been producing full-on trance for 2 years now, so I do
know the general structure's of the track (16bars 32bars etc).
I've currently got a Pioneer DDJ-SX and I mix with Traktor.
(I also have NI Maschine MK2 but hardly use it for mixing, are there any ways to use the maschine to enhance my performance.. ?).
Also I've recently came across a software called "Mixed In Key" for harmonic mixing.. but are there any similar software's with the same function that tell's the key of the track but that's free..?
And if there are any tracks that's good to practice beat matching could you mention a couple .. ? (Preferably full on tracks if possible I'll just enjoy it more hehe).
Any tips or advice will be appreciated !
Thank you .. !! |

I use Rapid Evolution for Key and BPM. And yes, it's free.
Don't know about good tracks to practice just pick a dozen and mix on, mate!!
And try to use the ones with different BPMs and keys so you can mix both in keys and harmonic. |

Thank you for the reply !
I've checked Rapid Evolution and tried the "3" On my mac.
When I launched the app on my mac nothing showed up..
Is there maybe another software for a mac .. ?
or did I install it wrong ? |

That's odd, mate. I have some friends with Mac and they use it.
I think you did something wrong. |

Oh my, so there is a free alternative to Mixed in Key and I no longer have to look for the keys on Beatport, one track at a time? J, you are my savior
Fullon is pretty easy to mix, most tracks have the exact same structure so you don't even have to know them that well. Just pick a couple of your favorites and practice, practice, practice |

Glad to help, mate. I used to do the same thing!!
Just keep on mixing. It's all about the ears.
Use some lower BPMs as well like Techno and Tech House. It's much more dificult and faster music just gets easier to mix.
And it's also good to listen to DJ sets to get some pointers.
We got heaps of good ones in our section.
