I wouldn't use a reverb everywhere, however it does come in handy...

epic +1. I think most of us start out putting reverb on everything because we read reverb theory somewhere: It makes everything sound like it's in the same room/gelled together, etc... IMHO, most electronic sounds don't need reverb, and most loops/samples, etc... already have it, or have a natural room ambience. Try to free yourself of the mindset of "how much reverb does this need", and think in terms of "does this need reverb?". I mostly use reverb as an effect for swells, or on pads that sound too dry, I don't usually find that it sounds too good on most other things... |

with convolution the verbs can built up on top of each other (using same impulse) cause there is no modulation , it s static , it can turn the mix hard to get right sometimes, i try to use different impulse to avoid that, can make things more easy or i modulate them with fx |

In fact this depends on the music style very much.
Chill, ambient - a lot of reverb
minimal techno - less
classical music - huge amount of reverb
etc.
