is Renoise well suited for psytrance production in your opinion?
Is anibody here using it?
Any released tracks?
What are its limitation? (for example I know it does not have sidechaining)
... If I had to make an hardtekno tune I would surely have choosen renoise! but with psytrance.. I don't know, I would like to listen to some opinions!
(I'm already a Renoise user but I have never produced psytrance!! just really want to begin!!:)
.. I have to choose between
- using renoise
- using reaper
(I already know how to use renoise, but not reaper!)
PS: sorry for my broken english!!
And of course.. HAPPY NEW YEAR! |

Hi, try to use the search function, there are a couple of threads where we have discussed the use of Renoise.
Renoise, like the most of sequencer, is well suited for psytrance. Reaper too. And you can use both (ie Reaper for audio, Renoise for midi) connected by Rewire.
Have fun, happy new year!

Hi! Happy New Year!
For The Sidechaining, it's coming out Renoise 2.5 with a DSP like Fruity Peakcontroller, then the sidechain is possible easily! There are many features added... go to renoise website

Hi, yes I'm exploring version 2.5 beta right now, it's quite good!
And in 2.6 we will also have lua scripting! sounds good (something like max4live?)
are the tracks on your myspace made in renoise?
btw, I'm italian too, from Milan
Bye!

@PoM:
-select your signal track
-add a DSP: #Routing -> #Send Device
-route your track
You can use multiple instances "#Send Device" on the same track and you can apply it even to a Send Track.
Obviously you can control it by FX's hex codes.
Have fun!
