has anyone tried doing something like this:
Have a hat and some other sound played at the same time (bell or whatever). Delay the non hat a few milliseconds and choke the hat to it.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but if you're doing that survey for any other reason than your own pleasure (i.e. some project or whatever) you need to change the question because it is frankly, a bit dumb.
Ever seen anyone tap their feet? 
We know that humans respond to rhythms, but what sounds make them up can hardly be of relevance. I have a snare that sounds like a hat. What is it? Doesn't matter, because its just sounds that unless they work together rhytmically, won't make you wanna dance. |
