hellol, just wanted to know if any of you had any information about Abakus.... their 'that much closer to the sun' album was awesme, but i dunno if theyve come up wiht anything after that... any leads?

i remeber it has that sequence from easy rider as a sample. the "go ahead george...light it up" that was special..so were all the melodies in it ... simple yet..theyde stick in ur head like no other tune...

There is a track together with Youth on the new Liquid Sound comp titled Illuminations and the track is "Spiritual Being"
I love the saiko sample.. I'll surely order the comp before Christmas

Was listeing to That Much Closer on my ipod this evening on way home from work! - top album...
Anyway - I seem to remember a post some time ago from Russel Davis or Humphrey (ex LSD label man who did Nada with Russel Davis) saying that it was unlikely as they moved on into doing other things & other sorts of music... |

which is his danceflor project? Abakus is awesome, i play his old tracks in the beginings of my prog sets, the production is so good that there's no difference |

Yes...I'm lovin' it too, but the stuff I've heard from Russel is quite break-beat...still sounds Abakus though...but at 130 bpm range.
