Hi All!
I wonder if there is special books for understanding deeply the Base of psytrance music production as Synth programing (for psy leads, pads..), effects (wish ones and why)..

- What do I have to read precisly to understand the plans of psytrance music production ?
- How psy artists write their music ?
- do we have to be graduated in music to be a producer? or just to understand clearly the computer based DAW ?
thanks,
Peace.

Imho it's just important to know the basics of audio-engineering, but try not to get carried away: it's more important to learn how music works.

Since you appear to be Dutch, here's another tip: "eenvoudige algemene muziekleer", by Bernard Nelleke. It's a book about music theory which you can use to train for the Conservatory and it's about 7 Euro's

For Reason 3 users:

Kurt Kurasaki's Power Tools for Reason 3.0 is almost out. Check Amazon very soon. I got an advance copy from the author and let me tell you this book is loaded with tutorials for such FX as comb filters, delay time modulation, long feedback effects, pattern-controlled vocoder filtering, lo-fi effects etc. The type of tricks useful for creative music production. I recommend.           ELECTRON EYES / MARK-EVAN (NOR. CAL)

Yeah i agree 100% but everyone is creative. You also have to make tracks that bring your creative message accross to others. If your tracks are really creative but really annoying to listen to, nobody's going to play them.

as far as i know there is no book for this kind of production...
all the product stuff is quite the same but the technique is the only difference between them...

I disagree. Taking the tutorials in these types of books will teach how to build increasingly complex structures. The advanced techniques detail signal routing, modulation, and parameter values that are simply too advanced for anyone to just 'figure out' by chance experimentation.           ELECTRON EYES / MARK-EVAN (NOR.
