Not really in Dec... winter fares to/fro europe are almost the same as domestic. But otherwise, yes - there are even some resources to connect with other organizers and share on an international flight.

I'm in nyc. I haven't looked at flights specifically in december, but I've found that in general the minimum price of a ticket from london is around 500us, whereas I can get a ticket from San Fran to NYC for about 250; less on some occasions. If I'm buying a ticket from somewhere on the east coast or midwest, sometimes the prices can go down to around 100; thus flight sharing is a useful tool. Also, if the city in question is near enough, sometimes talent can be enticed into driving...
and if we are talking about a ticket from Israel, then really anytime they are on this continent it is cheaper to flight share. |
