i have a didgeridoo from australia, but haven't used it in any track yet. interestingly, i've been thinking lately about using it in a chill track in the future. it's a cool instrument to play outside as well.           $ exp(j*pi) + 1 = 0. $

I've tried recording my dij a few times and everytime I end up making something else out of it, because it doesnt sound big enough to be what it's meant to be.

I reckon you need a good few mics and a good bit of space to be able to get that sound.

I've read so many threads on recording them damn things, other peoples troubles, what they did etc, but no good results here.

@ soulfood : I think with good mic you also need to have good miking done with the instrument as to get good sound and to utilize your expensive mic completely.

mics are also equipments and are really sensetive and one should really know how to use them properly.

only good or expensive mic can't do everything, placement of it plays the most important role.

try using atleast two mics.
one mic is enough but as you are saying that you don get big enough sound you should really try using two mics.

proper placement of a mic with the instrument is very very very imp.

try keeping your mic at different places and record and with the refrences of all the recorded sounds you can actually learn the miking techniques.

the best didgeridoo samples pack....is quantum leap ra....running on ni kontakt sampler!

if you want to buy didgeridoo...its not problem!....its not expensive!

the problem is that if you want to record this instrument....you need very very good "ears" ...to found wright key note!

good condenser mic, good acoustics!

cheers!           www.myspace.com/aliasix
