I tried to see this film in normal speed but i end up in fast forward.....
For me Willem Dafoe has made a terrible mistake in his acting carrer with this film. I am totally disapointed with him , he used to be one of my favorite actors....
It can't get worst than this....

Saw it last night in the cinema and i was HUGELY dissapointed.
It was so dissapointing that the rest of the people in the place started laughing with the film not to mention 4-5 people who left after half hour.
Tottally pointless and a big negative surprise from someone like Lars Von Trier.

Lars Von Trier is a hack director. Always was always will be. At least Uwe Boll is sincere with his talent.

I liked it too.
Its has a doomsday atmosphere, a terror feeling that lurks throughout the movie.
it has very scary sound FX and great cinematography, and it contains some of the most hardcore closeup shots in mainstream cinema - ever.
the actors do a an impressive job as well.
no doubt that lars von trier is pretty insane, but thats why some of his movies are damm powerful.

Before watching it, I got many different opinions on this one. Some liked it, others thought it was kinda disgusting.
Well, I thought it was splendid. A true tribute to Andrei Tarkovsky.
Reminded me, in many aspects, movies like Stalker, The Sacrifice and Andrei Rublev, where the image can be both amazing and scary, locking you up on the atmosphere which was created, with moral debates and the challenge between guilt and redemption.
Like Mr. Hanky and Anak said, cinematography is outstanding and same thing for the sound. They really GET into you.
Gotta watch it again. Detox, I suggest you do the same.
