this is impossible in current VST2 (afaik) standard either Steinberg didn't think of saving your RAM & CPU or maybe it's complicated to code this [anyway you must turn it on again ( load the plug into RAM ) a few seconds before it's operation, it's easier not to allow such thing]

It's very simple ;-)
Mark the Channel Enter the mixer by clicking on EQ u have on the left of ur screen In the upper left corner there are two buttons - Red 'Write' and Green 'Read' Press them both Enter your VST Effect/VSTi etc ( not DX though ) Play the song and modulate while u play When u satisfied, shut the 'Write' button on the mixer On the track list u will find new track called 'AudioTrack' Enter the AudioTrack by doubleclick on it On the left side u will see heeps of parameters Enter the parameter u have just changed ( it will b marked by little black circle ) Now u can modify your changes graphically if u r a real pedant..
Bon Voyage |

AAAAH stupid little me... u didn't want that answer...
If u want to activate/deactivate the fx then the only suggestion for u is to use it via one of the inserts and use the WET DRY function if it has one, but that is quite uncomfortable.
Why don't u just dump the changes or open another track with the same riff just without applying the effect ( that what I do ) |

i think i misunderstood u...
lets say i have a certain chanel which i want to use filter/effect on. i know how to record the effects movement but how do i tell the programs when to open it and when to close..... how do i do that?
i thought u meant "i know how to record fx/synths knobs movement" and now you wanted to turn them on/off automatically - to save CPU.guess i was wrong. but, if you try to record the knobs/parameters and they don't get recorded - try this: goto panels -> midi system -> filtering and uncheck "sysex" filtering. then try again.
arrivederci. |
