Let's say I have one audio track, played on channels 3+4. I have a few parts, and some of them overlap (release still plays when the new parts begins). How do I make it that I can hear both of the overlapping parts on the same track instead of just one track? |

hello mike , i just dont understand fully your question.
i think what you ment is to hear instead of 2 audio chanels only on 1 audio chanel , if this is the case then stand on the wav patern and drag it to the chanel requested , but dont forget that if you do that the audio chanel will be EQed by the same chanel , you wont be able to get for the overlaping wav a different EQ.
i hope i could help

i think u need to move both samples into the same audio part. i mean use glue, then edit the audio part, and move the end of the 1st part after the beginning of the 2nd ... btw, tell me if this works.

Didn't work... I'll just use it on 2 channels.
Thanks anyway. |

i was just chooting in the dark. does this overlap happen often ? maybe you should merge the parts with audio editor into 1 segment .... stenberg .... Mike, i think in Logic this will work by default, so if you convert from fruity or something ( 8-) ) u better use logic.

It overlaps a lot. But nevermind, I just put it in 2 different channels. And it looks cooler in the seqeuncer :-)
And in the meanwhile I prefer to use Cubase, I don't think Logic has the MIDI features I want. |

it does have all the features, but if you're used to cubase, stick to it. it would be a waste of time to learn another set of shortcuts and information in order to do the same music: in the end you'll make the same music :-)

I'm not used to anything yet. The only thing I'm used to is Cakewalk. If only there was Cakewalk VST :-) It would be perfect! |

Hey mike..
(sorry for coming late.. ;) ) i really not sure if i understood your question, what i understood that you want to play 2 wavs (one on other) in the same channel.. if you asked 'bout this, than its not possible in cubase, sorry, you have to use 2 channels... you can mixdown if you want.
