it's kbbb kbbb etc.

how to get it sound good, well velocity

BbB bBb BbB bBb

for one bar, it an easy groove tht works well

2nd, get it right from the synth, than check for distortion or a distorted layer to give crunch an definition, get some eq to work, area around 250hz need cut to remove some mud, then and this is very important for this type of bass is compression to get a fat low end and nice mids that are both good to hear, make the quiet freqs loud and visa verce you don't need so much dynamics that's what the compressor is for and to glue the sound

btw even with lots of help from here and the internet it was my experince that let me conclude so and achieve similar things
about 2 years so keep in mind that theses guys make this shit for a long period          https://soundcloud.com/noordzee-laborant

oh yeah, bare in mind that a lot of those guys answering are still not satisfied with their bassline ^^

i know quite lot of people working for like 10 years to achieve "that" bass. so never take any rule, just work on it, understand the basics and go for it. its not only about how to synthesize a bass. you need to know your room and your equipment a VERY lot.

at the end bare in mind that any track/bass you might listen to is heavily processed, a very lot o dynamic content missing, compressed, eq, limited, premastered.

a very good point to start with is recreating that bass without that processing. make it sound same at source, even better, take out the things you dont like and dip up the things you dig. if you want to control dynamics, know how and why you wanna do that. setting up compression as someone starting up with things is not that easy. i guess you wont be able to hear the work of a compressor if its not heavily working. so leave compression. train your ears A LOT! i know my comment sounded rude. but take off the goods, it was the best advice (been lotta years now) i got: learn to listen. and i was quite upset this beeing my answer that time too and quite took some while to understand all the benefits of this one simple advice....

make that bass you miss and not the bass everyone does oh well yeah .... and dont focus too much on those elements, besides enjoy some fun and write a track. finish it, cause your bassline will sound different with a track around. means if you finally got your desired result on kick/bass, you might screw round with it until the entire track is finished. so dont get stuck there too much

I wouldn't use presets, the thing is the kick you see? Imagine u have kick from a sample pack , its not going to be the one from any given track, the most important thing is the interaction with the kick, make like Ryanosauros video, its a badass Kick hein? , and from there u already learned alot, at certain point of the teaking things will open up and it will sound good, leave it like that, dont use too much eq's at this point, just make it roll           Tudo que é melhor e mais superior em mim saúda tudo que é melhor e mais alto em si

you´d been really helped a lot if you did yourself a favour to check the related posts here jimbo theres another gr8 thread about tuning kick to root.

i suggested the preset cause reverse engineering it helps a lot to understand how that kinda bass is achieved. the moog preset of sylenth being really very similiar, just filter cutoff need beeing adjusted accordingly. agreed you shouldnt use it. instead try to understand it and change it to your needs/make new from scratch. chekk, try to understand, keep in mind, recreate from init.

nyess, its a huge challenge taking lot of time, so be patient

i did by means not post the other thread, cause it might get confusing. if you find/read:

theres no need to take the root of your bpm, but you´ll benefit to tune the kick to your desired root. i know quite few artists synthesizing both in same synth to achieve best results. i tried and have to say best results i ever got. anyways had to process A LOT and layer the kick to give it the sound i needed.

but you need to look for yourself young padawan like said take nothing as a rule, try to understand. try to make it sound good with less processing possible.

yeah keep it 1 voice bro ! , eq your bass ! if its need more bass give it a bit of boost around the 90 hz but better to sweep around what sounds best ! , also use a saturn or other saturation vst and you can mold your bass , i put some high end on the bass to get a bright sound , sometimes you can reduce the sub but that's personal taste ! its all about testing and learning ! and personal i strife in every new project for a better bassline ! patients is the key here and make your own bassline's and not presets ,also make your own kicks bro ! i did used for along time samples but never fit in my mix ! now i make it with massive , got the spectrum to see what key i want it in ! and booom ! much better and more fun ! well we all walk the journey brother ! everyday is a learning day , one day you got that sound what is yours ! good luck brother !
