Another edit function thread !

Give us more than half an hour to make edits .. especially for people putting up reviews .. invariably there ends up being some mistake which all cant be resolved in half an hour .. it s just not enough time.. giving more edit time = less headache for the moderator of the section as well.
Why don't you just make it an any time edit ?

the main reason for don´t having an "any time edit" is because users do not change what they have written, and having this option can sometimes lead to a change of a whole meaning of a conversation - a man is a slave of his words.
and you can always contact any moderator to edit your posts

How about a message on the bottom saying that the post has been edited??
With the edit date.

maybe on specific forums?
like promotional releases, where a new upcoming release's status can be updated in the first post as it moves forward from prerelease announcment to sale points info and such. i think it would come in very handy there.
