When I use fruity loops for example, or cubase, My computer cant handle the information when I use more than 2 or 3 audio chanels.

Do you know what the problem might be?

A) Not enough RAM
B) Lameass CPU
C) Old motherboard (I know that problem too well)
D) Software (Windows or the programs themselves)

Probably not the CPU. If you have less than 128mb RAM, that's probably it, in fact, I wouldn't recommend working with any less than 256mb.

Can you rule out any of these?

IDAN .. in order to get 56mb RAM you need:
3 SIMMs: 32Mb, 16Mb, and 8Mb
or 4 SIMMs: 3x16 and 8mb.

this means you have a very slow motherboard and a very very slow CPU.

are you sure it's not 256 ?

whats the problem? just add another memory chips to the slots and upgrade to wherver u want

it is defenetly not a problem of the sound card.

well, if you use SIMMs for RAM, your motherboard is probably very old. So do you use SIMMs or DIMMs... and at what speed?

You should check out in it's manual (if you know where it is) or in the company's web site what's the maximum amount of RAM, what's the biggest DIMM/SIMM you can use (you may be able to use 3x256 or 3x128 as a maximum).

OK, now to the sad thruth. On a PC with less than 64mb RAM:

Your motherboard is too old.
Your CPU is probably too slow.
And it may be the soundcard as well.

What this means is... Be more specific about the PC :)

whoa whoa whoa whoa.....

i workwed on for ages on a machine with only 64 megs of ram, and an old awe 64 with limited on boardmemory 9only 4megs on that i think, bnut i later upgraded it to 8)

not being able to work with moer than 3 audio tracks should really be down to the cpu.... the computer memory and soundcard in an 128meg machine shouldnt be causing u problems... unless fruity loops is REALLY power hungry
