Recorded live at Equinox in Asheville, NC September 2009. Don't miss this exclusive set here on the Goa/Psy Channel at Digitally Imported Radio!!

The Annunaki first arrived on Earth probably 450,000 years ago, seeking an exotic beat to facilitate their trance states. Eventually we came to call them by many names, such as “the Nephilim” in Genesis, or simply “gods”. Whichever they are, they genetically engineered Homo Sapiens as perfect biological machines for dancing by crossing extraterrestrial genes with those of Homo erectus. Still incomplete, the machines required new patterns and rhythms to function to their fullest potential. So the “gods” searched, and waited, eventually finding the patterns and rhythms in Goa, India, where they studied and recorded these new patterns of mental concentration. Now their research has come to a close as the Annunaki prepare to enact their creations. Are they gods of good, or gods of evil?

Annunaki is celebrating its release of the brand new

Resistance Capacity EP

This transmission from the Annunaki tells an original story and foreshadows things to come. Following the thematic direction of a physical and spiritual winvasion by an advanced alien civilization, the EP opens with heavy rhythms, crunchy leads, and hints of melody before launching into less familiar territory. Exploring texture and deep atmospheres the compilation always stays solidly rhythmic and driving enough to work on any dancefloor. Combining elements of old-school Goa and new-school psytrance, the Annunaki sound reflects both the ancient and modern, the light and the dark, the familiar and the strange. By the end of the EP, the message is clear: prepare for the Annunaki invasion.

Resistance Capacity is the first solo release from the production duo of Christopher “kri” Johnson and Alex “the fuzz” Marano, based in western North Carolina, USA.
