hello,
i am using the latest drivers for my Virus Ti and i am having problems. when i play a bassline after a while its like there is a delay coming and things get out of sync. it reminds me of the beginning with the Ti where basslines where not possible for the same reason.
when i removed automation for pitchbend this problem occurred less so i guess its somekind of usb-capacity problem.
but now my sx3 regularly crashes.
i guess i have to wait for the next driverupdate but would really like to continue with basslines on the Ti. so if anyone knows a way around to get going i would be very interested to know.
thanx in advance.

use it like a regular hardware synth until the next update?
or try a reinstall |

installed the last Ti-update (one time blue screen of death but ok.. second time it worked). now the Ti runs fine. maybe also the motu828mkII driver-update helped. so the Ti should be ok now. so this was not the reason for crashing probably.
but i am still having crashes every 15 mins or so.
this is what sx3 says in the log:
Cubasesx3.exe Version Version 3.1.1 Build 944 - 14.6.2008 11:59
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Timestamp is 434eb959 (Thu Oct 13 12:45:29 2005)
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX 3\Cubasesx3.exe
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION
Fault address: 0097E7DD 01:0057D7DD C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX 3\Cubasesx3.exe
any hints??? please help, its driving me crazy |

Try to:
A. not run the Ti in a loop and if you have to loop the section, give it couple of seconds without midi notes at the beginning.
B. Re-installl Ti firmware 2.5.1 (assuimg you meant 2.7 drivers when you wrote the latest drivers for Ti, if not roll back to the 2 version).
Good luck. (By the way, Running Cuabse SX3, using XP SP3 with MOTU 828MkII FW and Virus Ti - works fine here...) |
