That app was developed by my friend and local Asheville celebrity Amos Gaynes

What do you mean, use them on PC?

Do you mean record the output for use in your productions?

It kind of depends on the app.

I use PC (only apple products are the ipads) and they all work fine for me. If I need to get the audio out of the ipad I just hook up the headphone jack to my zoom h2 and jam out then drop the audio into a project file from the SD card of my recorder

But if you have a audio interface with a 1/4 or 1/8 in then you could just plug it in there.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

i guess that question was more like "is there an ipad emulation to run these native on pc".

my question would be: is this really worth it in terms of sonic quality as them iphone/pad apps seem slick from the look.. but hows the sound?? they cost a freakin fortune and i could not see the point in releasing shit for a couple of bucks that is as good as the expensive big brothers for desktop applications?           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

No, there is no iPad emulation software.

They are really, really worth it. Animoog is stunning. iMS-20 is amazing. Filtatron rocks. Omni TR, Touchable and Griid are essential parts of my studio and live performances.

They cost a freakin fortune?

Compare the cost of an ipad + every single decent music software released for it to pretty much ANY Hardware synth....

The iPad is incredibly affordable when you compare it to other music gear, and the apps for it are pretty cheap too....and only more will come out.

Oh, and don't fool yourself thinking that these apps will come out for PC or Android. Certainly *some* will, like TouchOSC has an Android version, but Android tablets don't have the built in audio/midi capabilities that the iPad does. I seriously doubt Moog for instance will release any of their iOS apps for any other system....            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
