Anil Chawla - the zone ep
coming soon (mid nov)
fv020
In 2008, Anil Chawla cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s most hotly-tipped electronic DJ / producers of recent years and with the February 2009 release of Anil's highly anticipated debut artist album 'Roadhouse' (with Dale Anderson) on the world renowned Global Underground...
Indeed it’s been quite some year for Anil with globetrotting dates around the planet, taking in Russia, Ukraine, Ibiza, Egypt, India, Lithuania and Sweden. As a worldwide resident for Global Underground,London GU residency at Ministry of Sound.
2008 was also a massive year for Anil with a flurry of critical nominations. First up was his recent nomination as 'Best Breakthrough DJ' in DJ Magazine’s yearly Best of British poll. Then there was his ‘Best Artist’ nomination in the prestigious Beatport Awards, together with victory in the ‘Deep House Track of the Year’ category for the GU-signed ‘Leftorium’ (collaboration with partner Dale Anderson).
Having exploded onto the world scene in 2004, the past four years have seen rapid growth to Anil’s already illustrious career, and with heavy support for his productions coming from Sasha, Digweed, Tong, Garnier, Cattaneo, Angello, Zabiela and Fanciulli, his deep melodic-funk and freaky-acid house sounds are amongst the most sought after in electronic music.
Further success has since followed with a series of productions released on such highly respected labels as Saved, Cr2, Kill Brique, Vapour and of course Global Underground.
Now this massive ep on Flow Vinyl, where Anil´s set pace to some more clubby tech house grooves filled with mesmerizing basslines, percussive hooks and catchy synth stabs. Ubber Clubby and appealing, No doubts this ep will be charted and hammered by the majority of the djs out there. Early support by Nic Fanciulli.
the remixes come by no other than the hyped duo Kruse & Nurnberg, delivering an hipnotic re-interpretation of the original on a technoish/tec house tip. Very solid and dopey, and progressive dons Kasey Taylor & Pena, on a more prog affair.
Another big release by Pena´s Flow Vinyl.
The red zone / The white zone
Like all Anil´s productions, the musical constructions are very simple, driving and catchy. Now on FV , Anil goes into a more tech house flava but still very percussive, bass driven and with a very catchy synth stab hooks, all combined this recipe never fails and generates pure energy dancefloors.
Kruse & Nurnberg rmx
Separately, Hamburg based Florian Kruse & Nils Nϋrnberg have created some of the most interesting deep house around in the past few years, with early highlights including Nils’ “Caught A Glimpse” on 8Bit, and Florian’s “Love Hurts” release on Om Records. Since then, as solo producers, but more importantly together as Kruse & Nϋrnberg they have climbed closer to the tree-top with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground deep house infused with the sharp tech-house elements.
On FV, they provided us with a technoish yet very clubby and dopey affair. As we like!
