I have always loved Angel - Tears, I think the blend of ethnic-samples, live-instruments and live-drums is perfect… The only thing I dislike about Angel - Tears is the fact that a lot of their tracks are rather short.
My question is why so few people know Angel – Tears?

They are quite popular in the world music scene here in Australia, but I found only number four I like, the rest not so good for me, but glad many others enjoy it |

What's this Angel-Tears you speak of? Do they have something to do with Angel Tears? If yes.. then I love them.. all vol 1 & 2 & 3 & 4

Yes that’s the one; of course you like/love them, you suffer from the Ott/Shpongle complex (which is very contagious BTW), however I must admit that I’m also currently a patient .
I would describe Angel tears as a combination of Juno reactor (the chilled side) and Shpongle.
Their last album Vision is fantastic.
I guess maybe I’m wrong maybe people do know Angel-tears.

I think if any of us asked a sample of people in our area, not many of them would know of Angel Tears. But, most of the people that know about this forum have heard of Angel Tears.
P.S. I would say Angel Tears is a lot less psychedelic/experimental than Juno Reactor and Shpongle. I think it's more comparable to Adham Shaikh and Toires. |
