Big Thanx to everyone for having placed a pre-order or an order at Altar Records.
Actually I'm distributing myself, this is a big job but I always feel glad to send every single copy of my releases out there until it reaches you guys

Ugh, sorry my track came out so lousy.  The mix was rushed due to a label deadline which is why it didn't master well and sounds too quiet compared to all the other tracks on the release. I spent so much time with the production that the mix surely suffered. Deadlines are for newspapers and I don't wish to hurry my work for a label ever again. I plan to make a much better remix for the upcoming Androcell album definitely out in 2010.

Hi Tyler,
I'm not ok with what you said here..
After analysing, you track is one of the most loud on the compilation, the proof is simply the results from Audition amplitude statistics (left channel):
-Aes Dana: average rms: -15.76, max: -12.68
-Androcell: average rms: -11.18, max: -9.93 (!)
-Astropilot: average:-10.93, max: -10.13
-Shakri: average-10.49, max: -9.66
I had some comments from different artists, almost all say that their track sounds weak on the compilation..It's a "problem" for everyone, don't worry
As the mix should be done more properly with more time, I agree.Maybe a deadline of 2 months is not enough time to make a track.
But this track is great, I had no complains whatsoever about it, never apart from the artist himself today
Yes I agree the mastering should be better, in a way there's a little bit too much low freqs around 40Hz.
Anyways I'm very glad to hear that a proper remix of "Seahorse Dreams" will be released on your next album
Great news about your next album coming up!
Btw you should consider to come to play maybe in November in Canada, this would be awesome !

If you mean "Seahorse Dreams", that is my favorite track off the album. I think it's a fantastic track for whatever my opinion is worth. Also, I don't really notice it being any quieter than the rest of the album. |
