Dear Quasga,
I understand and respect the choise of the label to not distribute this album in a digital format.
Unfortunately, I will not have the chanse to listen to this album for the simple reason that i do not purchase anymore CDs...
In any case, I am really curious to listen after all the reviews...

i agree 100% with these humble words by tyler.
i am really bad at writing reviews for albums that i like , but i can say that after a few listens and quitea few spins on my DJ sets , not only is this album by far the best psy-chill ive heard in years , i also think that in musically speaking it stands up to every other genre of music as one of the top releases ive heard lately.
Tyler creates his own world here and its a real delight sinking in it
thanks androcell and respect

Just wanted to say how much I am enjoying this right now, this really is a magical album. We have all the right touches, swirls, motifs to give us one hell of an album. I like the slightly more chilled nature of the tunes over Emotivision which is a little more up beat and dubby in places, each tune sending you further and further into Tyler's imagination. I knew Gnome Dosed was going to be the best track here, we get a true psychedelic massage with every beat and tingle.
Absolutely awesome stuff.

This is a great review @ http://www.psyreviews.net. I think it really sums up how I "didn't seem to hit the mark" on this latest work. I only hope I can make my third album even more "akward" for the likes of the fine people who take the time to review my work with such critical rigor.
Seeing as how Efflorescence has almost sold it's quota since it's release in March, I can only hope to make a worse album next time that will sell even faster.
Enjoy!

Androcell
Process Of Unfolding
Celestial Dragon (Hong Kong)
I have to admit that when I heard Tip’s Infinite Excursions for the first time, I never thought chillout would have evolved into its own genre quite how it did. It sort of seemed like it was more of a one-off. Cue Androcell, who with his 2004 debut Emotivision showing just how much it had moved on. A similar leap would be a bit unrealistic for the followup; and I think it’s fair to say that it’s more of an introspective meditation on the styles of music introduced in Emotivision than anything else.
Undeniably a talented producer, Tyler Smith occasionally falls foul of getting too obsessed with the sounds and losing track of the elevating, warming soul of his previous output. At times it sounds over-shpolgley (namely the title track and the floppy-warp of Gnome Dosed.) Where Emotivision straddled organic and electronic admirably, Tyler doesn’t seem to hit the mark this time round. The glitchy Neurosomatic Circuit and Efflorescence see new sounds brought into the genre, with results that are interesting if not exactly earth-shattering. Atmos-Spheres is so hardly there that you barely notice it, and Dub Crickets is just plain daft. Spectral Processor however sees it all come together nicely, with melodies and manipulation that both sound incredibly fresh. Likewise the shimmering remix of Aes Dana’s Natti Natti, brought a new lease of life via a slomo 4/4.
All in all it’s a bit of an awkward listen, and you can’t help feeling that you have to keep really trying to get the most out of the album. Nobody is going to doubt for a second that he’s got another classic in him, but this isn’t it.

i also usually prefer the style that was on emotivision
efflorescence tries to be to cerebral, and that usually doesn't work for me.
what's special about it though is that it not only tries, it succeeds (as far as i am concerned)

I can't fault anyone for sharing their true opinion, but at least the reviewer could have paid attention enough to realize that the album is called "Efflorescence" (not "Process of Unfolding"). Makes you wonder if this person even has a real CD of the album. I wonder if this reviewer was so disgusted by the music, that my artwork was overlooked, as their is no comment on that side of the 'package'. Or maybe the 128 kbps MP3s he/she got from his/her friend just didn't translate the intent of my music.
Anyways.... big love and respect to all of you who understood what I tried to do this time around. The first album was for the heart, the second for the mind, and the third..... well I'm thinking it will be for the soul/spirit. I can't say it will be a "classic", but I can say that I strive to push my own muscial boundaries further than ever.
I'll have a few more dissappointing tracks coming out soon on various comps. Looking forward to that!

how about the third one be for the belly ? im really hungry
well i suck at reviewing but i find it odd that someone would dismiss this album like that.but each to his taste.
i found it a very rewarding listen , with nifty mellodies and great depth. i think it is a step forward from the 1st album (not neccesarily better , just a prgression) , and im definetly looking forward to the next one already!!
oh and please if you like it buy it - the packaging alone is worth a lot more then 15$
respect

Most of the rewviers dont seem to focus much on what they are reviewing
here some funny stuff about the track I wrote for the Continvvm album (Gaudi : Testa)
"Track 08 - Bass Instinct - Slightly darker than the other tracks this tune takes you on a more active and changeable journey into synthetic/organic landscapes using intelligent arrangements and composition of home made instruments combined with modern, synthetic, electronic sequences and loops. It's chunky by nature and moves steadily along. The variations on percussion and sample prevent this track from being too repetitive and keeps your ears attentive throughout!"
I would like to know where the reviewer could hear "home made instruments" since there are none, not even samples that may recall the sound of real percussiion .......
