And people, can’t you see that all the depravation and pervertions correlate exactly with all our negative associations we have with sex? Because repressed sexuality becomes obsessive, and the more you reppress it the more twisted and obsessive it becomes. Think about it, what power would porn have in a free society where everyone is already naked? It would be useless.

Because when we repress something as natural as sex then it becomes our very focus and obssesion, and transforms into something unhealthy.

Osho explained this very well when someone asked him what attitude we should have about sex. His response was right on:

"No attitude is needed. Only then are you natural. What attitude have
you about your eyes? Are they evil or are they divine? Are you for your eyes or against them? There is no attitude! That is why your eyes are
normal.
Take some attitude -think that eyes are evil. Then seeing will become
difficult. Then seeing will take the same problematic shape that sex
has taken. Then you will want to see, you will desire and you will
hanker to see. But when you see you will feel guilty. Whenever you see
you will feel guilty that you have done something wrong, that you have
sinned. You would like to kill your very instrument of seeing; you
would like to destroy your eyes. And the more you want to destroy them,
the more you will become eye-centered. Then you will start a very
absurd activity: you will want to see more and more, and simultaneously
you will feel more and more guilty. The same has happened with the sex
center."

Firstly, comparing exposure of ones face and the emotions it might elicit, to that of a sexual exhibition and the emotions that might invoke...SORRY once again horrible analogy.
If FFF were really trying to make a statement, then why wear clothes at all..why aren't they walking about stark naked, at the airport, in restaurants, fucking all over the place, on the busy berlin roads etc. Why cover your body, especially your genitalia, and then conveniently decide to fuck in open, but only in places where it "might" be tolerated, such as a trance party. Seems a bit superficial, so don't rock my boat with this open your mind, be tolerant crap.
And once again, I have no issues with FFF, fucking like bunnies in a designated area. Yes I am conservative, I grew up in a culture that while not necessarily sexually repressed, does advocate some ammount of decency and respect for others...no one says don't have sex...just be repctfull in your approach towards it. Now if you think that's a load of crap, fair enough, but that ain't repression, that's just respect for the other people who might have to deal with the spectacle.

Osho doesn't impress me either.

..but they do walk naked:) . well if it is not cold, they do walk naked , mostly on festivals because a festival is ( used to be) considered to be a frea autonomous area.

and if you watched the last part of the interview, which is not online now, they usually dont wear underwear....

btw why walk naked in the airport- you will be arrested if you do this ( it is illegal) and will pay money for having done it. it is like to go and smoke a joint in front of the scanner guard at the airport.....there are certainly more wise methods to show a vision...

However, according to the article you are referencing, it says first RECORDED, not first MENTIONED. it's safe to say that if it was first RECORDED in the 9th century, it was being MENTIONED many times a long time before that.

Also, Greek and Latin are not the origins of, but rather influenced in later times, the Germanic languages.

On another note, about sex and society and general, it's my opinion that society's views on sex are more liberal and open than they have been in hundreds of years, and becoming more so all the time. So called "Christian" societies, these days, are some of the most liberal and open societies in the world regarding sexual themes, and for the most part people are free to express whatever opinions they want to regarding these matters.
