I love how it says Registered to amplify on a site that sells samples and midi packs! Good job lol!

Not sure why people don't just post Alien 303, so we can all just sound the same with the same psy bass preset.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

of course why not...

i dont really get you.., its not always about the sound, especially not the bass sound.. theres not much variation you can do...
its about the melodys, the arrangement, wich makes the music..

so nothing uncool about everyone using the same basspreset..

I hope you realize how wrong this is. Sure variations in bass are more subtle, but there are good reasons why bass sounds different artist to artist and why some sound better than others.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

sure, sorry it was a bit harsh sounding after i read it again

but also it is not that wrong.. i wrot not MUCH this means there are for sure variations... why not talk about those...

i experimented with some square on the top, but i dont get it sound right.. maybe some hints on this?

i tried with trilian, normal sawtooth, abit more LP'd than normal, on top of that a square, but they are biting each others... maybe its on the EQ side of things then..

It's probably because one of the people I talk to the most about production is a bass nazi, so I hear things about lots of differences in bass often .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

sylenth is fine, but you can use just about any synth. fruity 3xosc makes a kick ass full on line.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

Sylenth1 is killer.
Trilian is killer too.
but it's takes time to understand how to make good bassline. there are no shortcuts!           http://www.youtube.com/user/ChichkeMultiTech

It depends on your particular bassline demands.

Not every saw wave synth has snappy envelopes, that's the main issue and probably what defines if a synth is good for psytrnace bass.

Filter envelope must be tight enough... i find few synths capable of the job: cronox2, sylenth1, zebra, albino and trilogy... perhaps some more but not "any synth".

Harmless is the phattest from IL, as it has a bass sub harmonic booster built-in.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda
