It is not just a mastering tool, it is a analysing tool
that you can use to analyse any sound.
I use a analyizer on master, sometimes, but don't rely to much on it. It can help sometimes to see what you do and hear. Hearing is more important, but your speakers can lie (i don't know if you using good monitors, and if you know them).            Signature

What about the 'inspector' plugin? Do you guys ocnsider that a decent analayzer? I used it for the first time in the track I'm now making and I'm quite pleased with it. But I like to know what others think of it in comparison (?right word, dunno??) to other analyzers...

cheers!

well, if you are talking about elemental audio systems' inspector, it has some pros and cons. for example it's good to have information on how much headroom or how many consecutive clip incidents you have. but the equaliser on it sucks imo. not very accurate in the low frequencies and also no ability to zoom in to a certain frequency range.

waves paz is a useful analyser too.           .
