Sure it can. The term "analog" only describes the way you enter(dial in) the notes, NOT the way how it´s built.
By the way a MIDI Sequencer can´t be a "real" analog sequencer. A real analog sequncer uses CV to control the pitch of a note, so you can enter any pitch you like without being bound to predefined intervalls.
But that not what im trying to set up here You should do more reseach in such stuff m8 Have Fun! |

Dont tell diskOtek to do more research when he is right. I'm not trying to piss you off but calling vst and standalone sequencers analog is confusing and wrong. You should have said analog-style.
I just started using Seq-303 last night controlling my SH-101.
Its and ultra simple 16 step seq. Nice to play with if you just want to play around instead of starting up your main seq.

if FL needs to be in the list, analog is probably not the right term. but anyhow: a list of programs with fast and easy to use sequencer/sampler possibilities and user comments can be interesting. lets not get lost in definitions.
GURU is imo a nice program.

i just did some kik-bass stuff in guru and as a test did exactly the same in battery2. what was striking for me that in guru it took very little time to make it sound good were in battery a lot of tweaking had to be done (same samples). to me it looks the enveloppe in GURU when editing the sample is somehow sounding good. but maybe its different with different samples. |

Thats why im added excourse into analog sequncing...
A MIDI Sequbcer cant be 100% Analog.
*shakeshishead*
I wonder why people alway be so agressive.

ansolas, you probably know what analog means.
thus dont confuse us and you by playing with words!
analog and analog-modelling is something different.
no hard feelings!

energy xt has got a nice arp. it got randomize functions, shift step forward/backward and is easy to program.
you can use the demo of it as it's easy to record the arpeggio to a midi file in your sequencer project. I use it as inspiration or quick random melody building tool without programming a whole arpeggio part. very quick and dirty
it's a subhost in vst form, not a vst instrument nor analog equipment.
