Amsterdam has it's own little squaters"village" called Ruigoord (since the late 60' if i'm right). It's a small "town" with about 15 houses, a little church and a barn where the party was held...
The party started around 23hrs with a dutch live act...not so spectaculair also because the soundsytem wasn't up to date at that time. The dj after found the gain button and the party got started with a nice pixel & sub6 track:one shot blasting thruogh the auditorium  Next up was Safi Connection and to be honnest i expected a lot more of him...the tracks we know where just cd quality...nothing more so nothing special, bummer imo. Stella brought a psYchôdelic mood to the party with her twisted, dark sounds...she crancked the soundsytem to the max!! Bilbo had a smoother and more playfull psychedelic sound that played around with our ears...his live set had a very nice structure...perfect beatmixes into the next track...some older Cosmosis trax put in a new jacket and some fresh Mumbo Jumbo tunes...this guy knows his machines;) The dj after him (i think Nilis from the organisation) got some help from Bilbo playing back to back here and there...nice tracks, nice mixing...different styles...They both finished the party around 10 ....imo a bit early for this date and location...
The decoration was very nice, dreamy backdrops, inflatable thingies, the usual string decorations etc....
Besides the "main hall" there where two circus tents, one chill out and one beats. Can't say anything more about those 'cause i didn't visit....no time to chill
All in all it was a killer party with the freakiest people from all around!! Big thumbs up!!
And a happy new year to all trancers around!!

Hi Psyonic, Thanx for the feedback  To give you an idea what you where listening to, Nilis was the first dj to start after the first live act. The last dj was mainly Bilbo and our good friend Tameesh, who gave shelter and good company to mishel and bilbo during their stay, got in for a few tracks.
Unfortunately we didn't get the main hall ready before 23 hour (we planned to start @ 21:00), but i think we managed to create a good hang out in the chill for the ppl waiting already.
Personaly i didn't have real time to party, managed to hear nilis and safi while i was selling coins an exelent 3,5 hours of music if you ask me :):) The part of Stella i heard didn't really get to me, a bit to housy with lots of catchy tunes and drumroll climaxes, not really my thing. Didn't hear mumbo and jocid unfortunately due to other obligations in the chill out.

It wasn't Bilbo, it was Mitch (dj kuma) who is the other half of Mumbo Jumbo... Billy was in Mexico at the time
I'm with Jons, I thought Stella's set sucked monkey balls through a straw. I've heard her play loads better in the past. We had good fun... but it was a pity the soundsytem wasn't eq'd properly, but full respect to the Empathy and Microdutch crew for putting on something of this scale |
